Mentoring and Poster Reception hosted by the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion

We are seeking volunteer poster judges and mentors to serve as advisors at topic tables to address career challenges facing underrepresented students, postdocs, fellows and faculty. Topic table descriptions are below:
Choosing and Planning a Career Path -Mentors will be prepared to discuss varied career pathways including clinical care, education, industry, policy, and research.
Pre-Med/Pre-Grad Advising -Mentors will be prepared to discuss how pre-med or pre-grad students should prepare for a career in medicine or science.
Graduate Advising - Mentors will be prepared to discuss how graduate students should approach a career in science.
Fellowship Advising - Mentors will be prepared to discuss how endocrine fellows should approach a career their careers as pediatric and adult endocrinologists.
Junior Faculty / Tenure - Mentors will be prepared to advise junior faculty on how to navigate those crucial beginning years of being on faculty.
Industry and Biotechnology - Mentors will be prepared to discuss careers in industry and biotechnology.
Balancing Career and Family - Mentors will be prepared to discuss how they have approached being successful at both work and home.
Resume Writing and Interview Tips - Mentors will be prepared to provide personal pearls on resume writing and interviewing for positions.
Clinical Practice - Mentors will be prepared to discuss careers as clinicians in academia, private practice, or more.
Research Careers (Academia, Government) - Mentors will be prepared to discuss research careers in academia or the NIH.
Going Abroad: Exploring International Training Opportunities - Mentors will describe training opportunities for international trainees.
