Join the Transgender Research and Medicine Special Interest Group for a webinar on issues around transgender health and aging. The webinar will feature Dr. Karyne Vinales, Dr. Sean Iwamoto, Dr. Amy Diesburg-Stanwood, and Dr. Micol Rothman.

The intended audience for this activity includes a wide range of health care professionals; many may deem this presentation beneficial.

Upon completion of this activity, learners should be able to:
  • Recognize social determinants of health that especially impact the lives of older transgender and gender diverse (TGD) adults and how these can impact their access to care.
  • Identify medical and mental health considerations in older TGD adults initiating gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT).
  • Describe when and how to approximately adjust GAHT dosage and formulation in older TGD adults.

The Endocrine Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Endocrine Society has achieved Accreditation with Commendation.

urate with the extent of their participation in the activity. While offering CME credits noted above, this program is not intended to provide extensive training or certification in the field.

Please note that while other accrediting bodies accept AMA PRA Category 1 credit, we can only award and report this credit for MDs/DOs. For those outside of this accreditation, please complete the participation evaluation and use that certificate as proof of attendance to submit to your accrediting body.
