Our new webinar series Reducing Health Disparities – Improving Healthcare highlights the importance of health disparities research to science and healthcare. The webinar series provides a multi-disciplinary perspective to promoting integrated programs, evidence-based approaches, and best practices to reduce health disparities and improve equity of care for all hormone-related disorders. Join us to learn more about the research, programs, and policy efforts to reduce endocrine-related health disparities.

Addressing Disparities in Obesity

This 60-minute webinar explore the nature and extent of disparities in obesity affecting minority communities, community specific programs as treatment models to reduce disparities in these populations, and health equity best practices to identify actions to address obesity disparities. The session will include a Q&A session between attendees and guest speakers.

This course is appropriate for a wide range of care providers, especially those with little or no experience treating patients with obesity.
During this event, we will cover:
  1. Key information on what we know about health disparities in obesity
  2. Evidence-based models for reducing and eliminating these disparities
  3. Consideration of existing gaps in knowledge, programs and policies
  4. Opportunities for future prevention, intervention, and treatments to help reduce obesity and its implications in diverse communities.
